Go for the Gold this Summer with Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit!

This post is sponsored by Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

The summer is here and we’re so excited for what lies ahead! We have some scheduled fun and many impromptu adventures on the horizon as well. One place we’ll frequent is the pool because it’s hot, hot, hot in Georgia, and we look forward to congregating around the water with friends.

In fact, we went to our first pool party of the season and I really wanted to bring something tasty and refreshing to contribute. I’m not very creative in the kitchen and thought a simple salad would be nice. The difference this time, however, was the addition of Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit!

My family really enjoys kiwi but it’s not something we think to buy often. When we do, it’s typically the green kind, but who knew there was a yellow kiwi option?!!

Have you ever heard of a yellow kiwi?

I was intrigued when I saw this sungold kiwi in the exotic fruit section, and learned that Zespri is a New Zealand based business that focuses primarily on the kiwifruit. Packed with nutrients, kiwi is a great source of folate and potassium. It’s juicy and so easy to cut open and serve too!

When it came time to put together a salad to bring I decided to add this special ingredient. I knew I made a delicious discovery and wanted to share!!

The water, and salad were both big hits that day, and even though it seems small, trying something new with food took me out of my comfort zone. I’d like to do more things that stretch me this summer which is why I’m also excited to share Zespri’s Wander & Win Challenge!

For the next 10 weeks I encourage you to try something new and step out of your comfort zone with the challenges you can find here.

Each week involves a prompt and will encourage you to either “Go For It” or “Go for the Gold”. Signing up gives you the opportunity to win up to $15000 worth in prizes!!

Here’s an example and what I had in mind when I added Zespri’s SunGold Kiwifruit to my salad:

Week 2: Let your palate wander

Go For It: Journey off your shopping list. Try something new at your grocery store or local farmer’s market.

Go for the Gold: Host a pot-luck, and have everyone bring a dish from a different country. Yours will be from New Zealand with a Zespri SunGold as the secret ingredient. zesprikiwi.com/recipes

From entertainment, exercising and inspiring ways to give back, these challenges are a fantastic way for you (and your family!!) to try some new things this summer!

I’m guilty of often thinking change has to be grand in order for it to make an impact, but here are 10 small and simple ways that can make a significant impact on the way you view your summer of fun!

Try Zespri’s sweet, yellow kiwi and don’t forget to sign up for their Wander & Win challenge today!!

Finding Quality Child Care with Quality Rated!

This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of GEEARS: Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students. However, all thoughts are my own.

Making the decision to have a child – it is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.

Elizabeth Stone

As a mom of 3, I have recalled this quote more times than I can count. It embodies so much of motherhood and puts to words what I often feel. As parents (or legal guardians), we are responsible for our precious, precious children, but sometimes, whether out of choice or necessity, we have to entrust someone else with their care.

Regardless of circumstances it’s not easy to do so. No one else can be mama but for those seeking child care there’s an incredibly reliable resource in Quality Rated.

The Sequin Sparkle and Change Bible: A Review!

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. ~ 3 John 1:4 (NIV)

My oldest daughter loves reading and it makes me incredibly happy to see her dive into book after book. She reminds me of myself at that age and her interest in more complex reading materials and chapter books continues to expand.

With this is mind, my husband and I felt it was time to give her an age-appropriate Bible to accompany the children’s versions we already have.

Take the Stress Out of Car Shopping with Kelley Blue Book

This post is sponsored by Kelley Blue Book on behalf of Everywhere Agency; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Buying a car can be an intimidating process. There are several factors to consider such as cost, safety, room, style, maintenance and so much more!

With our family recently growing from 4 to 5, we know we’ll be needing a more spacious vehicle soon. My husband and I have both purchased cars before, but this time we’ll be even more equipped with the knowledge found through the Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Awards.

God’s Good News: A Book Review

My home is in Heaven. I’m just traveling through this world.

 – Billy Graham

On February 21, 2018, Billy Graham passed away from natural causes in his Montreal, North Carolina home. He was 99 years old. A spiritual giant, it’s no surprise that timeline after timeline was flooded with posts about the impact he made within the Christian community and the world. He preached Jesus to millions and remains one of the foremost pastor’s in America’s history.

Thanks to Front Gate Media, I received a complimentary copy of Rev. Graham’s published children’s book, God’s Good News.

This book is a welcome edition to our collection and a wonderful way to show our little ones the way to the cross as we prayerfully encourage them to seek God with their whole hearts.
