School is officially out for the summer!!!!!
Homeschool 2020 (of the unexpected variety 😉 ) is done, and now we settle into another new rhythm. One I *mostly* look forward to, haha, with a greater sense of taking in the moments and practicing gratitude each day. Last summer felt hard, not because of my children, but because of the expectations I put on myself. This time, I want it to be different!
With my youngest being mobile and the weather still tolerable, lol, we are getting lots and lots of outdoor time!! We all love it and NEED it! I can feel the difference when I haven’t had my daily Vitamin D, and I can also feel that I’m not as limber as I used to be when I try to get down on my kids level to play. It doesn’t stop me, but I’m more inclined to be vigilant about staying hydrated and reaching for Nestlé® Pure Life®+ to drink!
I don’t remember the exact details of how Taisha and I first became acquainted via the world wide web, but right away I knew she was a kind and genuine spirit. I was able to confide in her and ask for prayer, and she shared a dream she had with me to step out on faith and start her own business.
Well that dream has come to fruition and I’m ecstatic to share her amazing work with you all!!! Her Etsy shop, Inspired Peaces, is my next Small Shop Spotlight!
As a girl mom to two little girls, people stop me in public to address my toddler and my baby. “Oh aren’t you BEAUTIFUL!” is the refrain that is already entering their minds and hearts. I know there’s been a lot of kickback against how to address little girls so sometimes it’s hard to navigate what is harmful and what is helpful, but they are beautiful, inside AND out.
The moment I walked through the doors of my 4-year olds pre-k prep class, I saw that I was in for a very special treat. My sweet child ran to me with a handmade (literally) bouquet of flowers, listing reasons why she loves me. I’m quite certain I melted into a puddle right there on that floor.
Even though she’s come home with a new craft each week for several months now, (most of which serve as priceless decor on our refrigerator), something about this was different.
