Motherhood by definition is the act of raising a child. When Patty asked me to do a post for this series I thought I would write something well put together and eloquent. Something that captured motherhood in all its perfection and glamour. Then I remembered, motherhood is not well put together. Motherhood is not eloquent.
These are a few of the thoughts that ran through my head as my daughter entered Pre-K this year.
As she furthers her education my husband and I will be faced with even more questions regarding the path we believe is best for her. We will weigh our options between a public and private education, zoning and districts, teachers and testing, and so much more.
We know that our educational system is far from perfect, but one thing I’ve never had to wrestle with is wondering IF she will have the opportunity to learn. Sadly, this is not the case for everyone, and this is where CARE comes in.
