Maternity Photos and 37 Week Update!

So last weekend I did a thing. At exactly 37 weeks pregnant I put on a pretty dress, got all dolled up, and had a maternity photo shoot with Morgan Hayes Photography!

I had maternity photos taken with my first pregnancy, but not the second, and I was on the fence this time around. For no good reason, really. I know this precious rainbow baby will complete our family and I wanted to make this last pregnancy memorable. However, I kept putting the idea off until one day it hit me. I need to do this!! I knew I would want these photos in honor of this special time in our lives and I’m so glad I went for it.

Being this far along and trying to survive the heat wasn’t “ideal”, but the day was pretty perfect and I hope you love the photos as much as I do!

Today I am 37 weeks and 6 days, eagerly anticipating this little ones arrival. Due to my previous (unplanned) c-sections, I am scheduled for a cesarean on my due date, July 22. Will this baby make us wait 40 weeks? Who knows!! I am trying to be patient amid my growing discomfort, because I know he or she will arrive in God’s perfect timing. But I can’t wait to hold my newborn!

What do you think? Will I make it to my due date? Do you think we’ll have a boy or girl? I’d love for you to share your thoughts in the comments below!
