We received complimentary meals in exchange for this review. As always, my opinion is 100% honest and my own.
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit the restaurant Establishment, while on my girls trip. There are a number of great food options in Atlanta, but some places really stand out. This is certainly one of them!
From the rustic decor based on elements of Atlanta’s rich history, to the incredible service, this is a place you must try if given the opportunity! Oh, and did I mention that the food is phenomenal?!
This is where the ladies and I dined for our last evening and it was perfect. They have a stunning patio that made you want to pull up a chair and stay all night.
The patriotic barn decor is a nod to the Buckhead area of Atlanta which was established in 1857, and much of the incredible art work was painted by local African American Artist Janssen Robinson.
Manager and co-owner David hails from Boston, but wanted to incorporate elements that truly reflect this great city and it’s patrons. I love the fact that he spent some time talking with us and sharing about his background in cocktailing and advertising, along with his vision for this restaurant and what he hoped it would represent. It made me feel even more connected to Establishment, and his personable nature was truly mirrored amongst the staff we interacted with.
There was a special bartending competition taking place the night we were there, and it was raising money for charity. The head bartender made it a point to make us feel welcome, and while not everyone in our party drinks alcohol, he was eager to cater to our needs and make some fun mocktails that we could all enjoy.
In addition, we had the most phenomenal waitress named Natalie. Seriously, when you go, ask for her! We learned that she is a nurse with a huge heart and she took the best care of us! It felt like we were longtime friends and she was so bubbly and amazing at her job.
The music and ambiance was fun, fresh and laid back, and then there was the food!!
I opted for the NY Strip Steak with a side of wild mushrooms, but there was also a lot of sharing going on! Some of the additional dishes we tried were as follows:
Grilled Buffalo Shrimp
General ‘Sous’ Chicken Wings
Mac n Cheese
Roasted Root Vegetables
Everything, and I do mean everything was so tasty! They had a number of gluten-free options too!
As if our bellies weren’t full enough, we had the pleasure of tasting a brand-new burger that is actually in a competition right now!
“The Southern Bell” was created by Chef Aaron Avers and it has portabella mushroom, fried green tomato, poblano pimento cheese and smoked bacon on a pretzel bun. It’s available at Establishment for $12 and it is certainly worth every bite! You can check out the Blended Burger Project and vote for this creation from now until July 31. Search for the “Establishment Burger” at
Now that I have hopefully succeeded in making you all hungry, LOL, make those plans to visit Establishment Atlanta and enjoy your meal!
