As I mentioned in my previous post, we’ve been enjoying a lengthy Christmas break around here. This is my first year having a school-aged child, and with my pre-kindergartner returning to class soon I’m preparing to get us back into the swing of things.
I pack my daughter’s lunch every day, and to be honest I’m usually at a loss for new inspiration. However, thanks to Smucker’s Fruit Spreads and Jif Peanut Butter Spreads, I’m putting a new (and simple) twist on the classic PB & J sandwich!
Who’s ready for peanut butter jelly time?!! Hahahaha! (Sorry, I couldn’t resist. ;))
Over the weekend I experimented with a PB & J Waffle Sandwich and it was delicious!
I love a hot sandwich, and it was so fun being able to incorporate some of my favorite ingredients. Using Jif Natural Creamy Peanut Butter as the starting point, and Smucker’s Seedless Blackberry Jam along with Smucker’s Natural Strawberry Fruit Spread as a tasty dip, the possibilities are endless!
It takes no time at all, and there’s just something about a waffle maker that makes everything more exciting. Am I right? Lol. Here’s some recipe inspiration, and the best part is you can add whatever you and your kids like for all your PB & J Waffle Sandwich dreams. 🙂
