A Thankful Heart

Is it just me or did the month of November fly by?! I know we have a few days left, but we’ll be in December before we know it!

Before welcoming a new month, I wanted to join Aleigh Moore‘s linkup for the final installment of her ‘A Thankful Heart’ series. You can check out my previous entries here and here

Now let’s get to a few more reasons why I’m thankful!

1. My Incredible Instagram Husband

I know we’ve all seen the video but I’m not being facetious. I promise!! I genuinely appreciate my husband and how he supports me on this blogging venture. Half the photos you see would not be possible without him, and I think he’s pretty great.

His encouragement means the world to me, and he always gives me the boost I need to keep going when I’m feeling insecure and doubting myself. I love his support and I love him!

2. Going to the Movies

I love going to the movies. I really do. Even with the climbing prices I thoroughly enjoy the movie-going experience. This was my dad and I’s favorite pastime, and sometimes its hard to go without him being here. But I’ve been blessed with some amazing new movie buddies who appreciate the shows as much as I do! This week alone I saw Dr. Strange and Moana and I give them both two enthusiastic thumbs up!

3. A Wonderful Thanksgiving

We had dinner at my mom’s house and the food was delicious. The company was just as great, and the best part? I got my sweet potato pie! I’ll be sharing a recipe soon, but I’m truly grateful that my stepdad and I have this yearly understanding. Lol. Honestly, it was a special day!

4. Laughter

I know I could do a much better job of loosening up and laughing more. I’m sure my husband and mom are nodding their heads as they read this, but it’s not that I’m unhappy. Sometimes I just take things too seriously and forget to simply be in the moment.

Well, one of those silly, goofy moments happened when the hubby broke out into a hideous dance to get our girls to smile for these photos, and I’ve laughed dozens of times as I look at these pictures!

The Bible tells us that,

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.
Proverbs 17:22 NLT

I’m steady working on a cheerful heart, and plan to do lots more laughing in the coming months!

The list could go on because November has been pretty grand! I hope December is even better though, and I pray you’ve have a great month too!

What are you thankful for?

  1. So much to be thankful for!! This is a great list. I haven’t been to the movies in YEARS!! I wish Luke liked it. He prefers to save the money and watch them a year later on Netflix. Ha
