Weekly Photo Challenge: Gone, But Not Forgotten

I wrote this post after visiting my grandmother over a year ago. At the time the doctors gave her 6-8 weeks to live, but it was over a year later, this past Wednesday, that she went home to Jesus. I’m missing her, but I know she is at peace.  She is now in the heavenly home where she belongs, along with my father and the other family members we have lost along the way.

Love you grandma!!

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. I know you occasionally drop by my blog when I am in a spiritual mood and I thank you. Family ties are so important and they are really what identify us in so many ways. Mark Twain has a saying that there are two important days in our lives and they are the day you are born and the second is when you find out why you were born. This has stuck with me lately. Be blessed. Alesia

    1. Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing such thoughtful words Alesia! I recently had a baby so the quote you shared definitely hits home. I’ve been rather inconsistent with writing and visiting my blog friends but I again appreciate your thoughtfulness!

      Be blessed!

  2. Sorry to hear of your loss but glad you were able to enjoy that extra time of togetherness which must have been even more special. Wishing you God’s peace and love, as we remember that blessed are those who mourn because they will be comforted. Thanks for sharing. May your granny RIP. Hugs!
