Monday Motivation: Thank a Soldier

This past Saturday, the women’s consortium of our church hosted an event in which we discussed ways to passionately serve our families, church and community.  In order to put what we discussed into action, we ended our event by writing thank you cards to soldiers.  This is something I’ve personally been wanting to do, but never took the time to do it.  It was a wonderful experience to come together with my sisters in the Lord for this common cause, and our prayer is that our simple words of encouragement will not only bring a smile to someone’s face, but remind them of the love of Jesus.

Psalm 27:3-4 (NKJV)

Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.

John 14:27 (NKJV)

27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

On this Memorial Day, as we take the time to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of our freedom, perhaps you’ll consider taking a moment to show your appreciation to the brave men and women who are still serving.

There are numerous organizations that make it easy for you to donate, write letters, or send care packages to our brave military personnel.  Here’s a selection of the many options:

From the bottom of my heart I thank you, and I pray that you are continually blessed!!
