A Special Date With My Daughter

On Monday I did a thing.

After a little planning and coordinating, I took my 5 year old daughter out for some very special quality time.

I set out to spend quality time with each of my girls, but I had this strong urge, this pulling on my heart strings, to take it up a notch for my oldest.

It wasn’t fancy. It wasn’t far. It wasn’t very expensive.

But it was special, and memorable, and everything we both needed.

Feeling Confident in Your Clothes + LuLaRoe Giveaway!

*I received these articles of clothing in exchange for a review. As always, my opinion is 100% honest & my own.*

Who’s awesome? I’m awesome!

When I heard our neighbor’s 5 year old son make that proclamation outside our window, I smiled a big smile.

Now that’s confidence. I thought.

As I settled back into doing whatever it was I was doing, I had to ask myself if I could make that same proclamation with such conviction.

In general I do think I’m pretty awesome, lol, but I definitely have moments when my insecurities get the best of me.

Cheers to 5 Years! It’s My Blogiversary!!

In many ways this is just another typical Monday, but in one way it’s of particular significance to me.

You see, 5 years ago today, on June 5, 2012, I published my first blog post, making this my blogiversary!!

5 Years!! I can hardly believe it!!

I knew this day was coming and originally had ideas of grandeur. Perhaps I’d throw a party, coordinate a mega-giveaway, or in the very least get one of those big ole gold balloons!☺️

Alas, the day snuck up on me and I am woefully unprepared. I’m honestly a bit disappointed in myself for my lack of planning, but today is special nonetheless.

With that in mind, I thought I’d share some fun facts with you about how my little space on the internet came to be, some things that I’ve learned, and more!

Here we go!

The Best Breakfast & Brunch In Atlanta

A very special thank you to Le Petit Marché and Sun in My Belly for providing these meals in exchange for an honest review. As always, my opinions are 100% sincere and my own.

I absolutely love breakfast foods. I am a firm believer that breakfast is a meal that can, and should be enjoyed at any time of the day (dinner included), and I am always on the hunt for a place that really takes this meal to another level.

On my recent girls trip in Atlanta (more on that to come), we found not one, but two amazing restaurants that made my breakfast-loving dreams come true!!

Cooking Up Convenience With Dinner Thyme + $100 Giveaway!

This meal was provided by Dinner Thyme in exchange for an honest review. As always, I only share what I love and appreciate your continued support!

If you know me in person this won’t come as a surprise to you, but cooking is not my thing.

Ok, ok. Now everyone in the “Amen” corner please settle down. LOL.

In all seriousness, I don’t enjoy cooking. I don’t even enjoy grocery shopping. In fact, I despise it. And while my husband will graciously eat all of my meals (let’s face it, the man has to eat something), there are only a handful of dishes that I feel I really knock out of the park.

In addition to my general disdain for the whole process, there’s this thing called time that no one ever has enough of. Evenings are especially challenging with my husband’s work schedule, church activities, getting the girls to bed on time (HA!), etc, but we have to eat!

We don’t want to fall in to the quick but unhealthy fast food routine, so we decided to give Dinner Thyme a try!
