I received these items as gifts from the brands, but as always my opinion is honest and my own.
It’s been nearly 4 years since I’ve had a newborn, and I’ve learned about some amazing new products since then. They’re the kind of items that should top anyone’s wish list, as they are versatile and functional, while making things a little easier for mom and dad!
There are three things that I’m particularly excited to put to use, and I know the expectant parents in your life will love them too. Let’s find out what they are!!

With the varying school schedules, it might seem strange to some that I’m already thinking about back to school shopping in July. However, school has been out since the end of May over here, and with the baby due any day now and school starting at the beginning of August, this mama is trying to make some moves!
I always try to be savings conscious, but I’m even more aware of making smart budgeting choices as our family grows. My oldest is heading into 1st grade this year (somebody pinch me!), so I stocked up on school supplies at Family Dollar!
So last weekend I did a thing. At exactly 37 weeks pregnant I put on a pretty dress, got all dolled up, and had a maternity photo shoot with Morgan Hayes Photography!
I had maternity photos taken with my first pregnancy, but not the second, and I was on the fence this time around. For no good reason, really. I know this precious rainbow baby will complete our family and I wanted to make this last pregnancy memorable. However, I kept putting the idea off until one day it hit me. I need to do this!! I knew I would want these photos in honor of this special time in our lives and I’m so glad I went for it.
This post is sponsored by Cord Blood Registry ® (CBR ®), but the opinions expressed here are my own. In about 6 weeks (or less!) I’ll be holding a new bundle of joy in my arms. It’s hard to believe that the time is fast approaching, but I’m beyond excited to welcome baby #3 to the family!!
In many ways this pregnancy has been very similar to my previous ones, but in some ways I feel like I’m experiencing things for the first time. There’s always something new to learn, a better product or invention, and more knowledge to grow in. One big difference is that for the first time I’m seriously considering preserving my newborn’s stem cells with Cord Blood Registry (CBR).
I remember a few years ago when drinking coconut water was suddenly all the rage. I know it was for good reason, with suggested benefits such as clear skin, a boost in hydration, and possibly aiding in reduced blood pressure (ahhh those electrolytes, hahaha).
While the list of positives went on, I couldn’t get over one simple fact:
I have never liked the taste of coconut.
Not in a dessert, candy, or drink. Nope, never, nada. Lol. Which is so sad considering all of its inherent health benefits.
I wished there was a way for me to experience the benefits without the unpleasant taste, and you know what? Welch’s heard my cry! 😉
