We received complimentary meals in exchange for this review. As always, my opinion is 100% honest and my own.
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit the restaurantEstablishment, while on my girls trip. There are a number of great food options in Atlanta, but some placesreally stand out. This is certainly one of them!
From the rustic decor based on elements of Atlanta’s rich history, to the incredible service, this is a place you must try if given the opportunity! Oh, and did I mention that the food is phenomenal?!
This meal was provided by Dinner Thyme in exchange for an honest review. As always, I only share what I love and appreciate your continued support!
If you know me in person this won’t come as a surprise to you, but cooking is not my thing.
Ok, ok. Now everyone in the “Amen” corner please settle down. LOL.
In all seriousness, I don’t enjoy cooking. I don’t even enjoy grocery shopping. In fact, I despise it. And while my husband will graciously eat all of my meals (let’s face it, the man has to eat something), there are only a handful of dishes that I feel I really knock out of the park.
In addition to my general disdain for the whole process, there’s this thing called time that no one ever has enough of. Evenings are especially challenging with my husband’s work schedule, church activities, getting the girls to bed on time (HA!), etc, but we have to eat!
We don’t want to fall in to the quick but unhealthy fast food routine, so we decided to give Dinner Thyme a try!
This means beautiful blooms, allergy attacks, unpredictable weather, baseball season (Go Giants!!), and of course, the yearly race to get swimsuit ready.
Did anyone else kinda cringe a bit at that last one?
I’m not thrilled with where my body is these days, but If you’ve followed me for any length of time you’ll know that I’ve been trying my best to remain consistent in my workouts. Not just for pool days, but to establish and maintain a healthier lifestyle in general and set a good example for my girls.
One area that is a struggle for me is snack-time. I want something easy, quick AND delicious, and I usually have a craving for something sweet. ‘Healthy’ isn’t always the first requirement, when I’m scrambling for something at the last minute, but I’ve finally found a great option with VitaTops™ MuffinTops!
We’re a few days in to the New Year and I feel like it’s finally sinking in.
Sure my Christmas decorations are still up (I can’t be the only one, right?), but my hubby and I did some goal-setting and planning, our daughters are bouncing off the walls, and I feel like a stuffed pig from all the holiday food I devoured! Everything is right with the world. 😉
As fun as it is to indulge in all the some of the goodies, feeling like a stuffed pig isn’t actually the long term goal. Lol. So I went grocery shopping and did some quasi-meal planning to make sure we re-establish some healthy habits!
Thanks to Post® Shredded Wheat, I tried a new recipe for homemade snack bars and they turned out great!
Now that Thanksgiving is over we can all relax right? Hahaha. WRONG!!
The Christmas season is upon us which means decorating, holiday music, shopping, planning, and of course, hosting some fun and festive gatherings!
Christmas Eve dinner is at our place for the second year in a row, and as I consider different menu options I want to have great appetizers in place. A cheese board is a definite go-to in my book, and this year I’ll be using one of the many flavorful options from Stella Cheese!
