My Dearest Alexandra,
It’s been a couple weeks but I still can’t believe you’re 5! This is a major milestone to me, and it seems to be significant for you as well.
I’ve heard you enthusiastically exclaim “I’m 5 now!” to anyone with ears to hear. Whether it be friends, family or strangers, you’re proud to be this age and you want everyone to know it.
Alright friends. It’s official. I’ve been 35 for a whole entire day and my world has completely changed!
Ok, not really. Haha. But I am a year older and perhaps a bit wiser (???), and more than anything I’m grateful to God for another year!
This birthday is hitting me as a bit of a milestone, so I thought I’d share 10 life lessons I’ve learned along the way.
I know there’s still so much wisdom I’m lacking and so much knowledge to gain, but for me, this is 35.
In my recent post, 9 Things I love About November, one of the things I mentioned was the outward expression of thankfulness in this season. It truly warms my heart!
I hope to do a better job of slowing down and giving God thanks for His many blessings, so I’ve decided to join some beautiful blogging buddies of mine for ‘A Thankful Heart‘ link-up.
Pausing to reflect on the good that surrounds us, no matter how big or small, does something wonderful for your spirit.
Last year my dear friend Tiana shared her story. The words you will read below are her own. They are words I cherish now more than ever, as she made her home in heaven last week.
On November 30, 2017, after her breast cancer aggressively returned, she passed away. It was not without a fight and her journey remained full of faith.
She is loved. She is missed. And through the pain of her earthly absence, we will rejoice in the beauty and strength of the angel we have gained.
It’s been three weeks. Three weeks since my darling Lily turned 2!
