Feeling Confident in Your Clothes + LuLaRoe Giveaway!

*I received these articles of clothing in exchange for a review. As always, my opinion is 100% honest & my own.*

Who’s awesome? I’m awesome!

When I heard our neighbor’s 5 year old son make that proclamation outside our window, I smiled a big smile.

Now that’s confidence. I thought.

As I settled back into doing whatever it was I was doing, I had to ask myself if I could make that same proclamation with such conviction.

In general I do think I’m pretty awesome, lol, but I definitely have moments when my insecurities get the best of me.

Cheers to 5 Years! It’s My Blogiversary!!

In many ways this is just another typical Monday, but in one way it’s of particular significance to me.

You see, 5 years ago today, on June 5, 2012, I published my first blog post, making this my blogiversary!!

5 Years!! I can hardly believe it!!

I knew this day was coming and originally had ideas of grandeur. Perhaps I’d throw a party, coordinate a mega-giveaway, or in the very least get one of those big ole gold balloons!☺️

Here we go!

Without fail, my 4 yo will always, always pause and place extra emphasis on this part of the Little Blue Truck. She thinks it’s hilarious! I typically burst into uproarious laughter with her, but after reading it this last time it hit me in a different way.

Sunk down deep in muck and mire.

Leave it to a children’s book, granted an excellent one, to give me pause as I stopped to reflect upon the current condition of my heart and mind.

What Motherhood Means To…Sarah

I never expected to be a mother.

Fast forward two years and I had the baby fever and I had it bad!

We graduated from college, moved out of our {awful} double-wide trailer and into a little blue house in the country. Life settled into a more predictable rhythm. It was time. It was time to add that tiny human to our family. And so with much excitement and anticipation for our future, we started “trying”.
