I’ve been fascinated with nature, its unique ecosystems, and the beautiful wildlife that inhabits such diverse terrain for as long as I can remember.
As a child I would frequently visit the library to check out books about animals and the environment. As a teenager I came very, very close to majoring in Environmental Science. And as a college student I had the marvelous opportunity to intern as a park ranger at Alaska’s Denali National Park & Preserve.
Needless to say, I’d love to see my girls take an interest in preserving our planet and its resources, and there’s a simple way we can do so as a family thanks to the Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Amazon!
I can’t believe that I’ll be holding a baby in my arms in a matter of months. A baby!!!
I’m excited, overjoyed, and only slightly overwhelmed, lol, but we are gearing up to welcome this precious blessing to the family.
As much as I’ve been preparing mentally and emotionally, I’ve finally begun to nest and gather some essentials. It’s crazy to me to think of all the baby things that will be back in our household, such as a crib, swing, play pen, tiny clothes, and all the diapers and wipes we’ll be needing!
While this is a joyous time of planning and prepping, I’m very aware of the increase in costs that are heading our way and am truly thankful for having the things we need.
Sadly this isn’t the case for everyone, including the one-in-three families in the U.S. who struggle to provide diapers for their baby.

Christmas is right around the corner, and there’s so much excitement in the air!
The smell of pine trees, the abundance of treats, and of course, the holiday fashion has been getting me in such a cheery mood!
As adorable as Christmas clothes are for kids, I tend to be a bit selective when it comes to seasonal attire. This year I took my daughters to OshKosh B’gosh for some festive wear, and we found the cutest things!!
I remember a few years ago when drinking coconut water was suddenly all the rage. I know it was for good reason, with suggested benefits such as clear skin, a boost in hydration, and possibly aiding in reduced blood pressure (ahhh those electrolytes, hahaha).
While the list of positives went on, I couldn’t get over one simple fact:
I have never liked the taste of coconut.
Not in a dessert, candy, or drink. Nope, never, nada. Lol. Which is so sad considering all of its inherent health benefits.
I wished there was a way for me to experience the benefits without the unpleasant taste, and you know what? Welch’s heard my cry! 😉
