My youngest turned two a couple weeks ago, and while she is just beginning to talk there’s one word I’m pretty sure she’s known since day 1:
When I tell you this girl is a snacker, I mean it!! Carbs and blueberries are all she ever wants. She’ll skip meals and go stand by the pantry door asking for snacks on repeat. Being that this is child number two and I’m oh so experienced (sarcasm noted), I don’t freak out as much about her aversion to complete meals. I do, however, feel bad giving my children the same things over and over and over again. I also want to see her (and my oldest) enjoying foods she likes that are also healthy. When that happens I feel so much better about life, haha, and that’s where Gerber® Lil’ BeaniesTM come in!
As I was handing my daughter her salami and crackers for lunch, she casually uttered these words. The tone was the same as if she were asking me for water or a special treat or fruit snacks, but this statement sent a ripple through my spine and my heart immediately fell into my stomach.
