The Gift of a Clean Home for Mother’s Day + Giveaway!!

I always appreciate gifts like jewelry, flowers, and food (definitely food) for Mother’s Day, but there’s another kind of gift that truly leaves me swooning. It’s the kind of gift that’s practical, and takes a time-consuming task off this busy mama’s plate.

Something like having a clean house!!

For the first time ever, we had our house professionally cleaned recently by Kori Powell of Fresh Cleaning Services, and it was a game changer!!! So much so that I’m going to tell you a little bit about my experience with Kori and her wonderful company, and offer a major giveaway just in time for Mother’s Day!

April was a particularly busy month, and no matter how hard I tried something fell through the cracks. Feeling like an overwhelmed hot mess, I took a step back and considered something I could possibly take off my plate. Having the house deep cleaned was what I landed on and I have absolutely no regrets!

I reached out to Kori and we scheduled a cleaning date. Prior to this, we had an in depth consultation regarding the size/square footage of my home, the number of bedroom/bathrooms, carpets or wood floors, preferences or allergies to cleaning solutions, “problem areas”, etc. She explained to me that she wanted to be as prepared and thorough as possible, and she definitely was!!

The cleaning was detailed and Kori covered every nook and cranny. She remained professional and patient even when my little one offered to help and she had areas shining that had been dull for far too long!

A part of me had to fight off some level of shame since it had been so long since every space received that type of TLC, but I knew that was ridiculous. The truth is that a huge weight was lifted as she vacuumed, scrubbed and dusted. I had a professional come in and do an amazing job while I handled other important business.

I definitely consider it a win, and after speaking to Kori about why she chose this path for her business, she affirmed this very thought. Her goal is to help out in whatever way she can. It brings her great joy to come in and make changes that alleviate stress and provide relief for the renter or homeowner, and it’s truly a blessing!

Because it was so helpful for me, she’s been generous enough to offer one lucky winner a chance to receive 3 FREE deep cleanings for their place of residence!

  1. Floors! Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping are basically impossible to me to do because of physical limitations. I’m beyond ready to have Kori come and help keep our home clean. Thanks for this awesome recommendation Patty!

  2. I wish I was like Kori and lived to clean, but I hate, maybe that’s too strong of a word. I really dislike cleaning. MY least favorite is the toilet and floors. I could sure use Kori services.

  3. I don’t have a least favorite room, but I really sweeping, moping and vacuuming!!

  4. Kitchen, bathrooms, mopping. I hate it all except maybe vacuuming. Too much stuff going on to get to it but a dirty house doesn’t feel good either.

  5. I’m not a fan of cleaning, but I really hate cleaning cabinet doors in the kitchen.

    1. Hey Maria! I have recently found that Magic erasers do wonders on kitchen cabinets 🙂 they are pesky to clean but the magic eraser helps a ton.

  6. I hate (that’s a strong word) cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms! Cleaning these days seems to be difficult with an 11 week old in the house!

    1. I think hate is appropriate here. Hahaha! And doing so with a newborn is hard!!! Good luck!

    1. Good luck my friend!! Showers can be so tricky and hard to feel like they are ever as clean as you really want them to be.

  7. Floors are my least favorite. With 4 kiddos under 10 I could definitely use some help!!

  8. Since you didn’t say it was limited to women, I hate cleaning showers and bathroom floors. That grout never seems to get clean enough or stay clean long, especially in an older home like ours.

  9. I really don’t enjoy deep cleaning the bathrooms… especially with little Posie girl wanting to help. I love sweeping and mopping. There is nothing better than having a nice clean house!

Also, your girls melt my heart!!!

    1. Thank you!! And it is challenging to get in there with a little one on the move. Good luck!! 😉

    1. My oldest is getting to the point where she can begin to use it and I’m glad!!

  10. My husband would say the shower because God bless him he cleans the shower! My struggle is keeping the floors clean with 3 kids & 2 dogs, homeschooling and working part time. This would be a huge blessing!

  11. I would say that bathrooms have become the place that I hate to clean the most. Our bathrooms are really tiny – and, after suffering a birth/spinal injury/stroke last year when I had my son, it has become impossible for me to get down on hands and knees to scrub the bathtub, toilet and floors…. it gets so frustrating and discouraging….

    1. Oh my!! That does sound so challenging. Best of luck and prayers to you!!

  12. The bathroom is my least favorite areas to clean. When I married in 1978 my sweet hubby asked the same question and ten told me he would take on that area. He did until he became ill in 1978. It was a blessing

  13. I am entering for my mother..she takes care of my brother who has had cerebral palsey since he was born.she works full time as well.she struggle’s to keep everything clean ontop of caring for my brother and working full time.

  14. I hate cleaning bathrooms. I can never get my shower as clean as I want it to be. It’s just constant maintenance.
