This post is done in collaboration with The Humble Soles, but all thoughts & opinions are my own.
Life with our daughters includes lots of purses, accessories and so.many. shoes!!
They easily have more than I do, but as they get older I’m focused more on getting them better quality footwear over quantity.
When I first came across The Humble Soles I knew their handcrafted leather shoes would be wonderful for my growing girls. They would last and wouldn’t be another item they’d outgrow in a matter of weeks.
While these things are great, it’s the heart behind the shop that impressed me the most.
Gabriel and Ashlyn are the founders, and after serving in Nicaragua for over 10 years, it’s safe to say that a piece of their hearts will always be there.
They wanted to find a way to give back to the place and people they fell in love with, and decided to launch a line of ethically handcrafted items made by Nicaraguan artisans!
Thus, The Humble Soles was born!
When you buy a pair of shoes a 10% donation is made to an area of your choice. You can designate your giving towards feeding a child, funding a child’s education, or fixing a child’s home. Shopping for a cause is my favorite kind of shopping, and in this case a child in Nicaragua will be helped every time!
Like Ashlyn shares here, being a mom made her that much more aware of the basic resources so many little ones don’t have, and I think this is a phenomenal way to give back!!
My girls and I love these sandals and what this shop stands for, and will keep supporting places like The Humble Soles who bring so much more than style to the table!!
Do you have a favorite shop that gives back?
