Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” (Revelation 21:2-5 NKJV)
Oh how I long for this day, but until Jesus returns I will continue on in fervent pray. Not just for Charleston, but for this nation and our fallen world.
Will you join me?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Today I weep with those who weep, as they attempt to process the grief and loss they recently experienced. My heart breaks for those who choose hate over love, and for those who are victims as well as those who do the victimizing. I pray that we cling to you even more, and that, as believers, we would come together to point the world to the hope that is found through Christ Jesus alone. I pray that even in the darkest hours we never lose sight of forgiveness, empathy, and love, and I pray that hearts are healed, minds are clear, and we can come together to glorify God. Help us Lord, guide us Father, and through it all we will forever give you the glory, honor, and praise.
In Jesus’ name,
Be comforted friends, and be blessed!!
