My toddler has been the very embodiment of a Todzilla lately. Oh these threenage years! It’s been a test of my patience for sure, but when I’m not pulling my hair out or practicing breathing techniques, this little girl keeps me laughing! Yesterday’s conversation was no exception. 😄
Alexandra: Mommy, I see that white man. That’s my daddy!
Me: Yep, that’s right. What color am I sweetie?
Alex: Umm, mama’s black.
Me: You’ve got it! Tell me, what color are you?
Alex: Uhhhhhhh, hold on, let me check. She runs to the full-length mirror hanging in the hallway to examine herself. Mommy! Daddy! I’M ORANGE!!! 😂😂😃
Out of the mouth of babes…she is too much!! 😉
Mommyhood is filled with highs and lows, but the highs make it all worth it! What’s the funniest thing your child has said or done lately?
BE BLESSED!!
too funny….
I thought so too! 🙂
Keep up the writing!! Your family will have it to look back on one day!
Thank you! That’s a wonderful thought!
LOL Orange is a beautiful color!! How precious.
😉
Lol my kids say daddy is brown! Lol My oldest would think anyone Asian was me and anyone black was daddy when she was a toddler! Lol
That’s too funny! We saw a few older caucasian women while running errands yesterday and my 3yo kept pointing and saying it was her Grandma…who lives in California. Lol. Lol! 😉
LOL that’s happened as well. Our youngest says, “Grandma!” whenever she sees an older black woman! LOL
