Wouldn’t it be nice if every place we visited was an exotic land, perfect for family gatherings and memorable moments? Traveling is one of my passions, and always a treasured opportunity, but we can’t always “get away” in grand fashion. Sometimes it’s up to us to turn our local venues into a special place just for us, and that’s exactly what I did as I enjoyed a splendid “me-day” yesterday!!
Before heading out, my daughter and I enjoyed some morning laughs. She showed me that the inside of a box was tons of fun, and that smile started me off on the right foot!

I was grateful to have the alone time, but I must’ve looked at this picture a couple dozen times throughout the day. I missed my girl!
First stop: Mani/pedi time!! My friend recommended a local place and I was very happy with the results. I was in the mood for pink!
Then it was off to get a massage. Does anything beat that? Really?
After feeling like I’d melted in to butter (soooooo relaxed), I went to Old Navy to return an item. Of course I tried a few things on too, and well, the return become more of an exchange plus some. LOL!

What’s special about this picture is that I’m in a regular-sized dressing room, and I’m not maneuvering around a stroller!!
After a day of leisure, I met my hubby for dinner at PF Chang’s. It was just the two of us, with plenty of salt and pepper prawns, and orange chicken to go around!
By the end of the night I was worn out and happy! I’d enjoyed the early part of the day with my baby girl, the afternoon was all about me, and the evening was a quaint one with my love. Whether it’s your home, your favorite salon or restaurant, make the next place you go an experience to remember!

I want to go to the Island of ME too…. lol!
LOL!!! The Island of ME. I love it!!
This is one awesome “me day” my friend. We do need to pamper ourselves every now and then. To feel renewed body and mind. Your daughter look so adorable sitting inside the box smiling so happily. My son used to do that until he got too big. I love this quote, ” Sometimes it’s up to us to turn our local venues into a special place just for us.” Indeed we can. God bless you and your beautiful family.
I totally agree! Sometimes we all forget to put ourselves first, but we’re better spouses, parents and friends when we do! I hope you’ve been enjoying a nice balance that includes some personal time too. You certainly deserve it!!
Blessings to you always my friend!
Patricia

Everything about the day was good Amy, and I was so happy to have left-overs to take home!
